Basic Buddhism Class Series
Beginning Jan. 11, 2011
by Rosemary Donnell
Another five-week session of "Basic Buddhism: The Four Noble Truths & Eight Fold Path," will begin Wednesday January 11, 2012. The time will be from 6:15 to 8:30 pm. It will run for five consecutive Wednesdays: January 11, 18, 25 and February 1 & 8 of 2012.
This time the class will be in San Luis Obispo. Exact location and directions will accompany your confirmation letter. The class will be limited to 30 attendees. You must be registered to attend.
As you can guess, the class will cover basic teachings such as the Four Noble Truths and the Eight-fold Path. I will also teach meditation posture and various meditation techniques.
There is no charge for this class series but there will be a dana basket to enable attendees to express their generosity. Further information about dana, what to bring, etc. will be in your enrollment confirmation e-mail/letter. This class is designed for beginners and those who are relatively new to the practice but it is open to all. It is a great way to renew your commitment to a daily practice and/or to systematize all the different teachings you may have heard over the years.
